KT, I love Ron Paul more every day. He may be the first person in my entire life that I voted for with enthusiasm. I'm actually proud of the fact that I've been telling people about him since before the bubble when he used to beat up Alan Greenspan. I saw an interview with him yesterday. He talked about having to do certain things slowly because of the implications of too rapid change. If anything, he is now the mirror image of my politics. Tucker calls himself a libertarian. He does seem to love Paul. I've heard him say that numerous times. But the term libertarian also seems to have a wide range. There are the intellectual anarchists like this guy hanshoppe.com the less extreme ones like Lew Rockwell and Ron Paul (strict constitution people), and then there are all the libertarian "light" people that generally believe in small government without overdoing it, government staying out of the bedroom and their drug kits, and non interference overseas. The latter group contains some seemingly left leaning people like Bill Maher (who also considers himself a libertarian) that feel they can't be republicans these days because of the influence of the religious right and because they are anti war.
