In a given year, what are the chances you'll be killed or injured driving to work or mugged on a public street? Or struck by lightning? So, you're saying there shouldn't be traffic law enforcement, cops on the street or GFI circuits in your house?

I'd suggest that you're asking the wrong question. Rather than asking about the likelihood of a particular person being directly affected, you should be (IMO) asking what the potential damage to the country might be.

Even if the odds are only 3000 in 300,000,000... its way too high. To wait until the odds are more like 10,000,000 in 300,000,000 is extremely foolish. This is a boil that needs to be pricked before staph infection sets in.
