The American public would have Tehran radioactive if necessary to remove the threat rather than live life without cheap oil.

Making Tehran radioactive will ensure a continuing supply of cheap oil. I see.

quehubo, i don't think we will have to create safe passage or live without safe passage through the stait of hormuz either. that was not what i was attempting to convey. i was just stating that the strait is not so narrow, and if some shipping were temporarily to block the current shipping lanes, they would be opened up pretty quickly by other alternative strait of hormuz routes that i am absolutely positive have been studied and planned for years by the us navy and others too.
