"Where did that come from?"

While many government bureaucrats attempt to do their job as well as they can, other use their positions to advance their own agendas. In businesses bad eggs are summarily dismissed while in government they become entrenched.

Most of us can envision some entrenched government employees using their power of life and death to punish people against whom they harbor resentment. Medicare has a history of cutting reimbursements and not providing coverage for treatments; once socialized medicine threatens to bankrupt the nation expensive treatments will be excluded. Once government medical care is the only game in town, either can be a death sentence.

Please note that this was a 2007 exchange.

I was wondering if you might wish to reevaluate which one of us sees the future with more clarity. I doubt it, but then any self confident person should believe in themselves.

Are we going to have a similar exchange in two or five years over the then recent rash actions regarding doctors?
