The people willing to fight in Iraq are fighting, the rest are sheep watching to see which dog will run the herd. And that dog won't be our dog." "So listen carefully; evil-doers aren't the only ones who've historically done great harm; sometimes starry eyed do-gooders have also created horrible results." Really? I don't know of any, but then my view of doing good, and how one should go about blaming others, is likely different than yours. "If we invaded, conquered and occupied Iraq based on do-gooder notions then that will simply be another example of unrealistic, faith based thinking leading to horrible human tragedy and damaging the underpinnings of a great nation. Ed" Fortunately that comment is filled with myth. We are not in Iraq to conquer Iraq, we are there to continue the struggle against tyranny and for liberty, justice, and autonomous self rule for a people who've shown their overwhelming interest in that, which are the underpinnings of our great nation. Liberty is founded upon the courage and hopes of a population who would choose to live free from the coercion of an oppressive regime. Courage and hope is based in faith but it doesn’t present itself within the constraints of tyranny or by the neglect of those who could lend support but wont. It must be encouraged, supported, and if need be fought for.
