I've never been even mildly rich in money terms, except when I compare myself to 98% of the people in the world who are poorer than I am.

I admit to wishing that I had a little more money than I do, just to cover modest expenses and have a little more freedom and be able to accomplish things that are difficult for me now. However, I've never coveted wealth and do not envy wealthy people.

Envy is what gets you, I think.

In the things that are really important, nobody is richer than I am. A few good friends, family and extended family who love me and whom I love. A warm place to sleep and more than enough food.

Maybe a little less food would be good.

I'm often happiest when I'm alone with my thoughts, too.
