Over the last couple weeks I have drank several interesting bottles ow wine which each cost me less than $20. 1970 L'Evangille St Emillion: Carmelized and dead. Brown, undrinkable. 1975 Trotanoy: Over the hill, started stiff with lots of structure but little charm. It opened up over a couple hours and while still relatively charmless, it did have some nice fruit. 1975 Palmer: Past prime, tannic with some hint of fruit. Became more accessible and after an hour or so was enjoyable.
