"..never got the training or education in politics."

You think climbing the Hollywood mountain isn't training and education in politics?

Ted, > As I saw it, his entire first term was a learning experience where he learned on the job and you paid for his training.

Did I tell you about the German cab driver who asked me and my wife about our governor in California? He found it hard to believe that an actor can get elected. Here are his own words, "If he can become governor, I can become governor."

My wife and I had to smile. It just occurred to us that maybe having an average citizen serve in government is a uniquely American concept. (Yes I know Arnold is a celebrity, but you know what I mean. One who isn't a career politician and never got the training or education in politics.)

Huh? You were flattered? Arnold is by no means an average citizen. He was a celebrity and was elected on that basis, not on his abilities to manage the largest state in the union. CA is nothing if not superficial.......Reagan and Arnold as governors proves that without a doubt. The German was laughing at you; not admiring your governor and how democratic America is.
