He didn't do that, since he provided full disclosure on three different pages of the Nov. 2000 issue that the model portfolios had no QQQ in them.

That issue came out in plenty of time for anyone following a model portfolio to sell their QQQQ with minor losses at most if they wished to remain in a model portfolio.
