I'm talking about inflation (or deflation) and money supply, not credit contractions or currency runs or banana republics.

The very high correlation between inflation and money supply is unmistakable. Find me long term reliable data from other countries on M2, M3 and corrected CPI and I'll show you the same thing from them.

No question that its not the only factor, but its still the largest factor in inflation/deflation.
