The Democrats sure don't have much of a bench. But supposedly General David Petraeus wants to run for president some day. If Hillary loses, maybe they can get him to run for them in 2012...

Either the Dems are really that bad, or we unable to view them objectively.

Bit of both, probably. I think it's pretty objective to say that Hillary is able, Obama will be able at some point in the future but is not yet ready for prime time, and Edwards is a lightweight. Thompson is not too bad but is going nowhere as a candidate. But if you pictured a debate between any one of the Republican five and Obama or Edwards, the Republican would win handily. With Hillary it would be an even match.

Are we really that partisan or is it true?

That's a question the highly paid execs at MSNBC should ask themselves:

Rosie O’Donnell in Talks to Join MSNBC

By JACQUES STEINBERG and BILL CARTER

Published: November 5, 2007

Rosie O’Donnell, who abruptly left “The View” on ABC last spring after drawing attention and ratings for her opinions on everything from the Iraq war to her co-hosts, is in serious discussions to return to television atop a new soapbox: a prime-time show on the cable news channel MSNBC, according to executives on both sides of the negotiations who have been briefed directly.

Under one scenario, Ms. O’Donnell would be given the 9 p.m. slot each weeknight on MSNBC, where she would go head-to-head with two heavyweights of cable talk: “Larry King Live” on CNN and “Hannity & Colmes” on Fox News.

They've got the media. they've got the thought police. they really believe the media and offering more giveaways for the middle-class down will carry the election. The universities are also turning out little liberals who recite by rote.

it amazes me how blindly people accept global warming.
