Just thought of something.

How are the Chavez lovers here going to justify their whining of Musharraf?

"Arnold is indeed an average citizen with no more training or political education than, say, "Humble Carl" of the INTC thread. "

Get real Ten! Arnold married Maria Shriver! That's all the "political education" a man needs! He's got Teddy on speed dial!

Ted, > The German was laughing at you; not admiring your governor and how democratic America is.

Wow, seems like if you were in the same position, you would have an extremely thin skin.

No, because I would have agreed with the German in this particular case. While I think Arnold is a reasonably intelligent man and a good businessman and an okay actor, I don't think he was qualified to be governor of CA. To a degree he knew that because he had people like Warren Buffet around to advise him.

As I saw it, the cabbie had a tone of curiosity, rather than derision. Had it been the latter, he would not have received a tip from us.

Maybe he's from Austria where Arnold was born, or maybe he thought it was cool too. Usually Germans are pretty direct in their views but there are times when they play it cagey as well. I know generally Arnold does not have the best rep in Austria and esp. Germany.

And like Jim said, if you want to vote for a real pro, vote for Gray Davis. Or if you thought he was an absolute dud, vote for Cruz Bustamante (not to be confused with Mary Bust-A-Plenty ...)

Gray Davis did not have Arnold's charisma. That's essentially the major difference I see between the two administrations. I don't follow CA politics very closely but I don't see Arnold making any great strides.
