England has wimpy goals. Not that Willits will do it, but...

Consultant Sam Pierce meets with the Willits energy ad hoc committee this Friday, November 2 to begin his review of the city's energy usage aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Pierce is a recognized leader in helping businesses and municipalities set and meet greenhouse gas targets, while saving money along the way.

As part of his assessment for Willits, Pierce needed a target from the city before he could begin his work. The Willits City Council set a target goal of 90 percent reduction in GHG by the year 2050.

The goal represents a target the city would like to achieve but is not binding.
