Apparel Retailer Guess Raises 2007 Profit Outlook on Strong Performance in Third Quarter

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Apparel retailer Guess Inc. on Tuesday raised its fiscal 2007 earnings guidance due to stronger-than-expected revenue in its third quarter.

The company said that for the 12 months ending Feb. 2, 2008, it now expects earnings per share between $1.85 and $1.90. Previously, the company expected earnings between $1.79 and $1.84 per share.

Analysts polled by Thomson Financial expect earnings per share of $1.87 for the year.
