"Do they really want to end up living in Radicalistan under the Taliban?"

They might. Don't forget why the nation was formed in the first place. Pakistan (meaning 'land of the pure') was established to be a Muslim Empire, and if you tie that to prophesy, you eventually get a world empire. When it was founded, many Indian Muslims moved to Pakistan to be a part of it, representing the most extreme and violently anti-Hindu. And, we know it has been a magnet for foreign fundies over the past few decades.

"This is a similar argument to what we have here over Patriot act but in Paks case, the situation is much more critical.

But it is different because the radicals believe Musharraf et al have sold them out to Western materialism and ravished their cause for personal gain.

"Bhutto isnt in jail and she may be the best way to play this."

I've always liked her and most Paks do but the culture has changed since she was last in power. It may be too late to bring her back as an effective leader, even if we can push Musharraf in that direction.
