No, but the credibility of the source is defined by its history.

For instance we have scientific evidence that the entire cadre of media outlets that used to be called the "mainstream media" are all liberally and pro democrat biased. Thus anyone quoting a WSJ Op/Ed should expect it to have a slight conservative bias, while news reports from the same newspaper have been demonstrated to have a liberal bias. Also it is common knowledge that the NYTimes specifically is so biased that its articles and Op/Eds represent and are designed to advance the most extreme partisan leftwing agenda.

I admit to having given some sources too much credibility due to their history of intellectual honesty only to later learn that their standards had changed. Adjusting for that is a constant process.
