I have a lot of respect for Ron Paul, but how much change could he accomplish with a Congress and Senate controlled by a business-as-usual party?

If you can believe certain polls, 50% will Never vote for hillary, that is from a sample of known voters.

Paul could win with a 10 to 12% draw from the non voting majority. The +50% of eledgable voters who have not participated in the two party charade has proven to be an electoral constant. These Non voters are the great majority of taxpayers whose interests are not represented by elected officials.

Our current political landscape is designed around Special Interest groups whose self interest is representative of the outcomes purpose. vote and collect.

This puts a burden on the entire country and the whole population becomes captive to these SIGs

Only Reagan tapped the NVM pool significantly.

Paul wont be nominated by Republicans, so he needs to go Independent.

Conventional wisdom says that hands the election to democrats......nothing could be farther from the truth, if the electorate expands.

In every election of modern history the winners % of the total potential electorate has been under 29% when only 50% or less participate.

Again the greatest political Constant in American politics is the Non voting majority of +50%.
.

Paul needs to bring voters off the bench, and he could win as an independent. The disgust of the non voting majority is with the carve up of political favors by the parties together.....and that will not change under the present hegemony of political rule.

Every deficit, every instance of largess, is done by the parties in consort, to purpose the maintenance of power shared, all these costs are born by those who previously voted None of the Above.
