"Toasts of the President (Lyndon Johnson) and the Shah of Iran."

Note the date. By the 1970s a lot of the bloom was off that rose.

Toasts of the President (Lyndon Johnson) and the Shah of Iran.
June 5th, 1964

Lyndon Johnson was an impressionable Texan who exhibited some Republican traits during his tenure. Besides, this was the early 1960s before the Shah's ruthlessness had been fully exposed. However, it was the right who still loved him even after his warts had been publicized. After all, you all have a history of hanging with dictators. And like I said, we're seeing some deju vu with the Pakistan mess. Watch and learn how your boys operate.
