now i know what we must do in the financial arena War was a must in Medieval Period in order to get you paid handsomely & "professionally" without begging for someone. If you didn't go to war, you could be forced to go to war because alien people with different religious ideology would make you like a witch & could burn you alive in public. I would say the nowadays Iranian rulers are still in Medieval mindset in that you are forced to fight them before they fight you if they grow stronger & stronger. If you play Total War: Medieval II on PC, you would notice that a successful faction doesn't need a strong financial in order to become the strongest nation. But I would warn that the game is pretty additive, besides educational.
