They are getting frantic. They see their power slipping away and they don't know what to do. The only reason to endorse Giuliani is because they think he is more electable.

Have to wonder about the mental weighing process of the religious right...


Could it be that he is thinking who the best candidate would be for America, rather than who has the most check marks on the list of issues religious right cares about?

Is he really that much of a supporter of abortion and gay rights? He's promised to nominate more Roberts and Alitos to the bench. That's code to the religious right as "I'll overthrow Roe v. Wade and oppose gay rights."

And given that a lot of liberals and moderates continue to think that he'll support gay rights and abortion rights, it lets him have it both ways.
