They all understood our need to march into Afghanistan and clean up the infection there

You are living in a dream castle, Steve. Pure fantasy.

We never had the support of the Muslim world. The ones who didn't actively oppose us tolerated our actions out of necessity for themselves.

Your assertion that fundamentalist Christians and Neocons are the ones who marched into Iraq is simply hogwash.

Timothy McVeigh was not a right wing lunatic. He was just a plain lunatic who wanted to make a big splash, and that's all he did.

The authentic conservative condemns McVeigh, and every terrorist like him. He had nothing to do with conservatism, the right wing, Christian fundamentalism, or anything of the sort. Only a few people on earth are more evil than he. If you want to debate it, go here: Subject 51329

Ok , I wrote several replies to your post, and tore them all up. Starting over again:

On 9-11-2001, I had a group of smiling Pakis tell me straight to my face when I asked "Why are you so happy?"

He said: "OBL is a hero in my country"

Well, all I can say is I was not happy that day, I was confused, bewildered and befuddled and very very sad.

Well, I am not any more. Well, that's a lie, I am still sad.

But let me just say, you have a very different recollection of events than I do.

Maybe alternate universes are more common than I had suspected.

I will have to rethink that one, it could explain a lot.

Your BDS has blinded you. I don't begin to see it as you do. So we can just disagree.

"I absolutely and completely disagree with this statement and it is I suppose the basis for our disagreement. After 9-11 we had the complete support of the entire world, including the Muslim world."

That is blatently untrue. There were street celebrations - remember?

I absolutely and completely disagree with this statement and it is I suppose the basis for our disagreement. After 9-11 we had the complete support of the entire world, including the Muslim world.

That would explain why Palestinians celebrated in the streets after video of the attacks played on TV. Right?

Please don't take this as a personal attack, but you really are out of touch and don't have a clue.
