Former Commanding General of 1st Infantry Division: "We Ought to Want to Win" in Iraq [W. Thomas Smith Jr.]

Retired U.S. Army Gen. Dave Grange — former Delta Force commander, former commanding general of the 1st Infantry Division (the famous “Big Red One”), and the foreword writer for one of my books – says on CNN:

[The Iraqis] are helping us now. I would go back and say we lost two, maybe three years of ineffective strategy of not working at the grassroots level which they're doing now. It [the Iraq war strategy] is starting to work. It's taking hold, and we just have to give it a chance. But some people won't accept the fact that it's nothing else but a defeat.

You know, we're Americans. We ought to want to win.

That has been a real head scratcher for me with the anti war group and far left, I truly think they want us to lose and that is just simply amazing to me.
