oh my,this market looks very dangerous now. structured mortgage credit keeps spiraling down in crash-like fashion...the charts of major banks, brokers and credit insurers look like the fear is getting very pronounced. such oversold situations are potentially very dangerous unless confidence gets an unexpected boost.
a lot of positioning for the 'inevitable year end rally' has probably taken place, and is now looking at the big problem of broken supports. the systematic deterioration in market internals since the August lows is beginning to take its toll.

Fed funds are implying 50 bp. more cuts by January, as silly
as it sounds, so gold may not be all that irrational, and
will probably break 850 soon.
