Yes, exactly! Ethanol is trading one addiction for another and in ethanol's case, it's even a worse solution than drilling for more oil, in my opinion. Ethanol will drive up all food commodity prices in the US and takes way to much energy and polluting chemicals to produce. I think there's no net gain from going to ethanol, except for the large corporate farmers. Congress will have us all believe that the small farmers will benefit, but that is a myth. Electric cars, nuclear power, solar, and wind. That's where all of this needs to go.
