Taro, Fall back solution: nuke power from France and Gas from Russia delivered by Schroeder, Putin and their buddies. Sounds like a good business proposition for France (and Russia). Not so good for Germany... Joe

It's just in Stone Age Germany the red/greens still strongly promote a policy of rapidly closing down the nukes, no new carbon fired power plants - and back to the horses and bear furs. Hey, you do know they shot the first bear in ages over there recently, right? In Bavaria last year! Hey, the Germans aren't so stupid. France may have great nukes but it has yet to solve the problem of nuclear waste. And France has a history of supporting the wrong causes....from the Vichy gov't during WW II to the Concorde to their own little internet. Their Latin temperament gets them into messes that don't necessarily serve them well.
