The new American Embassy in Baghdad will be the largest, least welcoming, and most lavish embassy in the world: a $600 million massively fortified compound with 619 blast-resistant apartments and a food court fit for a shopping mall. Unfortunately, like other similarly constructed U.S. Embassies, it may already be obsolete...

Me:"Everywhere in the world has loathsome corruption, Ed. "

A simple fact but look what can be made of it by VietNam Eddy.

You: "Are you running out of unconvincing dodges for being happy-talk, tooth-fairy wrong, so often?"

I have absolutely no idea what you are refering to, it certainly isn't relevant to anything I've posted. Who knows why you continue to lie so much; well you know, but I doubt you'd want to tell us.

Maybe just another desperate mendacious attempt at this...

"... going to such extensive lengths trying to wring some weird false meaning from my statements, which you then label insidious. ...tsk.
"

What is obvious, glaringly obvious is that you haven't backed up your personal slams with anything but whining and sniveling and personal jibes.

We are in Iraq for the following reason...

”Current U.S. strategy -- the New Way Forward -- recognizes that the fulfillment of commitments by both the U.S. and Iraqi Governments will be necessary to achieving our common goal: a democratic Iraq that can govern, defend, and sustain itself, and be an ally in the War on Terror. The building of a strong strategic partnership with the Iraqi Government will be an important part of the effort to achieve this end state, which remains a long-term goal, and requires the application of all elements of national power, including especially diplomatic, economic, and political power.”

That's fact, its documented, its accountable, its been allocated, our strategies and operations are reflected in this purpose which supports my initial statement you challenged.

Me: "We are not in Iraq to conquer Iraq, we are there to continue the struggle against tyranny and for liberty, justice, and autonomous self rule for a people who've shown their overwhelming interest in that, which are the underpinnings of our great nation."

You've not shown one spec of evidence for your claim that this statement is wrong.

Or maybe its just a partisan hate thing, I've never had much concern for that stuff.

Have a nice day,
