Several years ago I worked with a woman who took an extensive class on cooking with the microwave. She told about cooking virtually everything in it. Beef, pork, chicken and as I recall, she even baked bread and cake in it. I've never attempted to do anything with mine but heat up pre-cooked food, thaw stuff. I have done a few baked potatoes in it, but I've never been very impressed with them. Now I buy Betty Crocker twice baked potatoes at the grocery store and nuke them for a couple minutes. They're very good if you haven't tried them. They need extra cheese and butter once heated.
