Nadine, re: "The Sunni insurgency is over. You ridiculed me for saying this a few weeks ago. Check the figures - it's still over.

Since, as revealed by all your previous dead wrong proclamations, you've got such a finger on the pulse of Iraq, let's see if you can answer a simple question or two.

First, what was it that the "Sunni insurgency" was (is) fighting for, or against?

Second, if you have any dim notion of an answer that question, then what do the recent developments of the Sunnis accepting arms and money from the US in return for cutting back on killing our troops have to do with those "insurgency" goals?

I'm guessing that, as usual, you don't have any cogent answers.

And with respect to Al Queda in Iraq, It seems that it wasn't the big movement in Iraq that some said it was, doesn't it?

The Sunnis and Shiites seemed able to tamp it down quite easily. In fact, Al Queda doesn't seem to have been poised to "take over Iraq" on our "cutting and running," does it?

Now who was it that said that our leaving would leave Iraq at a big risk of being controlled by Al Queda? Who was that?

Oh yeah, I remember now...that was you Nadine. You made that statement to drum up support for continued US warfare in Iraq at a time when most of us were saying that Al Queda was simply a tool of the insurgents and that they could, and would, rid themselves of it whenever it wasn't useful to them.

Get a clue. Ed

" I will continue to maintain that this isn't about Iraq as long as your posts have a lot more to do with your personal emotional history than with facts on the ground in Iraq, which, as you obviously haven't noticed, are improving,"

Leftwingers are about emotions instead of rational thought.
