IMO it is extremely unlikely that any "historical" amount will ever be paid. The idea, which has been posted repeatedly on stockhouse, is pure fantasy. The NPI was not set to pay out until all capital costs and interest were covered (500 MM plus the associated interest payments over 7 years)

HBM has cynically refused to issue the key piece of information - what fraction of the quarter this current payment was for. We may have to wait another 3 months to get an idea of what a full quarters NPI will amount to. Obviously there is still a lot of bad blood between the two companies.

The other royalty that they have been getting all along is only about 100k per quarter, not per year as you posted.
