Unbelievable isn't it? When you read their posts over the years criticizing the government, it stands out when they post that the government is the answer to our health care and retirement issues.

Republicans are bad, democrats are good...lol

How naive.

>Suppose you were right. What happens when an administration changes? What percentage of government employees do you think changes? 1%?

The political appointees, who tend to be the people who manage the career people and make the decisions, change.

Think Brownie...

Many key managerial positions change with a new administration. The difference in capability between the Bush and Clinton administrations has been striking. If a president believes that gov't should be small and ineffectual....if a prez believes gov't isn't important......if a prez believes gov't employees are incompetent....if a prez thinks a key component of his job is to reduce gov't, then you will fill those positions with chronies who don't have a great deal of experience in the area they are supervising, and they in turn will put in similar people below them. What happens then.......you experience a Katrina snafu; a passport snafu; an immigration snafu; a port of entry snafu etc. The Bush administration domestically has accomplished little and the area they were supposed to be the experts.....starting wars...they have totally messed up. So then, what we have are people like Bolton, Brownie, the idiot that ran Iraq for a while and managed to lose $9 billion of Iraqi money, Rumsfeld......the list goes on and on. The guy they put into Iraq so he could set up a stock market was barely out of business school and had little stock market experience......but he worked in FLA on the Bush campaign.

The Bush admininistration has managed to screw two sets of taxpayers....................

And not just that (and the fact that their wrong to begin with), but there is also the fact that the future is not going to be a stream of unending Democratic administrations.

If the government is so bad when Republicans are in charge, than government is going to be bad frequently.

And in the unlikely event that the Democrats do manage to have total dominance for decades on end than they become like the PRI, a party cut off from real challenge, wallowing in corruption and incompetence.
