What's Really On the Fed's Mind?
globaleconomicanalysis.blogspot.com
Banks are in a situation eerily similar to the Japanese banks in 1992. They are sitting on bad loans but regulators allow those loans on the books at face value. The Fed is very concerned about a massive debt deflation credit crunch that restricts the ability of banks to lend and inhibits consumer spending. Fed actions prove what is on their minds.
