they live at least a little longer because of their health system.

Some people live longer; some people don't. I'm assuming that the net is positive longevity but we don't have data for that. I wouldn't get too exuberant over that little bit of agreement. <g>

Hold on. You will have to back out some of the increased longevity in Europe for the following reasons:

1. They only send a token number of soldiers to Iraq so they have fewer deaths.
2. The EU has outlawed capital punishment.
3. Because we are willing to fight for our freedom a lot of us own guns and some of us go around fatally shooting people.
4. There are a lot of illegal immigrants crossing our borders and when they can't find jobs they drive around without proper documents and end up running over innocent people. In Europe they have these socialist guest worker programs.

Ergo, European statistics on longevity is inflated and made to look better than they are.
