All good points, and it is interesting to see them all together in an organized way. But who knows... I thought that such gross obvious liabilities like the trading story would prevent her from becoming a Senator, but no one blinked an eye.

About the South - It appears that Hillary is rather unpopular in her former home state. A frequent comment when the name of the NY Senator is mentioned is - "Y'all can have her"... (-g). She did not win too many hearts and minds down there. The insight about the difficulties that her lack of charm may cause in the South is an interesting one.

Bill, on the other hand, is a PR genius. I know people in Arkansas who met him once during a function, and several years later when he saw them he came up to talk, and he remembered their names, details of their life stories, etc. Most impressive. I ran into BC once during his first term campaign. We exchanged greetings, a handshake, the usual stuff. But the way the man is so intensely focused while he talks to you leaves an impression... I wouldn't be surprised if he remembered that brief encounter. Terribly bright guy... too bad he turned out to be a schmuck in many other ways.
