11/16/07 update
The Nasdaq Biotech Index managed a small gain for the week but the Charity Contest portfolios' losing streak continued. At Friday's close, the NBI was up 6.24% YTD (vs. up 6.01% YTD a week ago), while the Charity Contest portfolios' median closed down -18.63% YTD (vs. down -17.0% YTD a week ago).
At week's end, 3 of the 31 Contest portfolios were in the black YTD and just my own portfolio and TECHNET's are beating the NBI. However, despite my portfolio getting a huge boost from the Pfizer/Coley buyout, its 7.8% YTD gain is still quite a bit behind TECHNET's 15.3% YTD gain.
Have a wonderful pre-Thanksgiving weekend everyone!
