No the debt won't stay static while the economy grows, but if you get a lot of new debt that is only going to come from new spending. Its currently growing at a slower rate than the economy. The debt by itself is quite sustainable, esp. since a big part of government debt is debt to itself.

The big problem isn't the debt, the big problem is all the future promised spending.


No Tim. The reak problem is all the revenue monies that go to paying the interest on the debt and can't be used to help the citizens of this country. I hope you don't run your personal economics the way you want this country to run its.
