Obama gave an interview on Iowa's public television station led by Yepsen and at 13:30 he's asked why he thinks he's more appealing to crossover Independent and Republican voters than the other dem challengers.

His response sealed for me why I support his candidacy: "I don't assume Republicans are bad. I don't assume Democrats are always virtuous, I don't think we have a monopoly on wisdom. That non-ideologic approach to politics....of sitting down, getting things done...."

One can disagree with him on the specific issues but one cannot find another D in the field that is free of the grudges and resentments that have plagued and paralyzed both parties for decades..and have led to the Reids and Pelosis that we have today..
