there were many military personnel who volunteered for duty in Viet-Nam. when they volunteered they knew it was a 12 month combat tour and to get credit for a the tour they would do their 12 months.... elitist john forbes kerry was different.... he was in-country less than 5 months when he just abruptly departed for a cush job in the safety of CONUS. he didn't think about his men at all.... they were left behind to complete their 12 month tours like 2 1/2 million other military Viet-Nam veterans completed.....
