I don't know what is so hard to understand about this... "I was simply trying to establish when you were there to compare what you have commented about it with what I had seen. You seem unwilling for some reason to be more specific about when you were there on some of your trips." Depending upon when you were in Berlin, you either saw the stark contrast between capitalism and socialism or you didn't. For a number of years after the wall came down (even in 1998) you could see the contrast. If you've been there more recently, you can't tell the difference between "East" and "West." Capeesh?
