Look, my whole comment in this discussion was in response to mindmeld's (typical) inaccurate claim that "downside risk in CSCO is close to nil". You can find it here:

Message 24040255

Downside risk with CSCO is not close to nil; rather, its about the same as it is with any large cap tech stock. If there actually existed equities out there with "downside risk close to nil", we'd probably all buy them. Guess what - these magical "limited downside" stocks only exist in mindmeld's Fairyland, they certainly aren't members of the S&P 500.

The original point was about the remoteness of the likelihood of CSCO dropping too far too fast.

No, it wasn't. The original point is in that post which I linked above. Go read it again if you like.

If you want to support the claim that "downside risk in CSCO is close to nil", go ahead and support it. That is the claim I disputed, not the other stuff other posters (including you) have attributed to me.....

What exactly is your POINT?

Exactly what I've written. The idea that CSCO has minimal downside risk from it's current level is folly, and is a claim without basis. It's about as valid as the previous claim (by mindmeld) that CSCO isn't going to fall below $30. It's a wish of mindmeld's, and made without the basic understanding of the stock market which says.......stocks go up and down.

Now, do you need some statistics to back that up?
