Yep, not a fan of the platform, OTOH, compared to someone who might invade other countries and torture he's clearly the Belle of the Ball on the Republican ticket.... period. He's also completely aware that his policies would have to be decided by the people, and are hundreds of years away at best. His "rant" about our historical involvement in the ME was a real breath of fresh air... someone with real perspective and contextual awareness as opposed to every other Republican candidate who all are limited to "stimuli-response".

Of course, I'll continue to Vote Democratic in any case. The greater point is that when it comes to changing folks view on issues on a broader more subtle scale... it's people like Paul who will change conservative Republicna views... not a liberal candidate from the Democratic party winning the presidency.
