I am in Kentucky at the moment which is deep in the heart of Bush-Cheney country. Take it from one who has lived in TN nearly all of my life: the former backers of Bush/Cheney are just as weary of them as the rest of us, but will not admit it lest we heathens on the Left take comfort from it. The small government folks are disgusted, the truly compassionate conservatives have seen through the act and the Religious Right is sick of the lip service. That 28% "support" is wafer thin.
