The word was endorsed, not lauded and it was both of N.Y's senators that was mentioned not just Hilarious. It came out in one of those left/right discussions that are very common on the better broadcasts...it went unchallenged. If you have information to contrary that predated the poo hitting the fan, please feel free to post it. The news was not overly negative near the time of his nomination as indicated by this story printed in the NY Times. Don't try to tell me that Times would not have torpedoed him if they had the goods on the cusp of the nomination. query.nytimes.com
