On FNS, Democrat Presidential hopeful Bill Richardson demanded that the United States cut off all aid to Pakistan. Richardson based the necessity for his Iraq "plan" – run away – on the words of retired General Ricardo Sanchez. When host Chris Wallace pointed out that Sanchez had been removed from Iraq in June of 2004 following the Abu Ghraib incident, Richardson proclaimed that Sanchez had been "on the ground" and thus would know that the surge had failed.

I watched that interview and was VERY depressed about how IGNORANT Richardson apparently is, considering I am moving to N.M. The interviewer POINTED OUT that Sanchez hasnt been on the ground in Iraq in some time and would have NO WAY of having first hand knowledge of how well the surge is working, but Richardson insisted on sticking with his story that the surge was failing and we needed to CUT AND RUN. He's either a PARTISAN ASS or an IGNORAMUS. I once felt if a Dem had to be President I hoped it would be him, now I take that all back. jdn
