To think that this Country was so fortunate to have George Washington at the same time we needed him the most is just breathtaking, when you stop to think about it for awhile! We were at Costco today and bought the brand new Illustrated Edition of David McCullough's 1776.... The pictures are in beautiful color, and there are actual copies in envelopes in many places in the book that are from President Washington himself. It appears to be just an amazing feat to compile all of this! I'm going to wrap it for Christmas for both of us, so we can enjoy it then, and look forward to that enjoyment until then.
