Which just about makes up for getting stopped out of no fewer than 4 attempts at shorting gold over the last 2 weeks. It is not the loss(less than 1 point in sum total), but the frustration of such trading that dulls the senses. I sense the same is holding true for a number of traders in emini, nq's etc. System trading does not do well in rapidly rising volatility, as big wave surfing tends wash over technicals, leaving all in the washing machine trying to figure out which way is up.

About unwind covered call/put solution to HNP shortly, but as the trend is down, so it shall be till friday. No sense getting in the way of those with larger stakes than I. If the RMB were to hint of revalue, I think ADR's of chinese descent should zoom,,, no?

Waiting for expiry to add to a small but growing position of DGL calls. I feel that by April/Gold, in the 900-1000 range, should be a pretty reasonable pace to teotwawki.

I also entered into a call spread on BG this past week.

As the wingtipped fellows jump up and down with excitement, I feel compelled to vacuum up the loose change as it falls to the floor.

I feel a bit like Lee Marvin in Paint Your Wagon at the moment of conversation when the idea was had to tunnel underneath the local saloons scooping up all the loose gold dust.

I fear this expected correction in gold may be shortlived, as it is too late in the year to screw around with Mrs. Watanabe in a meaningful way, else screw up tiramisu at christmas, and spend so much time rewriting bonus checks.

Have not had time to look at HK market, but looking cheap.
