The USA invented the internet and now the bludgers, repressors and confiscators of the world want to take it over: <In 2005, the European Union suggested that an international body be set up to oversee ICANN. But several groups fear what would happen if responsibility for running the Internet is shifted, possibly leaving it vulnerable to the sort of political censorship seen in China or Myanmar. > Possibly? Assuredly. I prefer the USA to run it thanks. At least they have a passable tradition of free speech and do use the word freedom as though it might have some relevance to human life. Mqurice
