Zeus, the accounts are federally insured for $100,000 in cash and $500,000 in stocks. But it's a total of $500,000, not $600,000. Any amount over that, I'd move. Also, any near term options, I would move. A shut down would guarantee your money, but if it took a while with the account frozen, that could be very bad for options.
