Well, maybe he traded carbon credits to atone for the sin of driving an SUV? In any case, I'm sure the driver felt GUILT for driving an SUV, unlike evil (R)'s.

But once again, not all Democrats believe in no SUVs no matter what. I certainly don't I don't have that much of a problem with someone with a big family or someone who has to cart around a lot of stuff on a regular basis. I also don't have that much of a problem with ones that are relatively fuel-efficient (like the Honda CR-V).

It's the glorification of the SUV I can't stand. Most people who have them don't need them, and that's a waste. But they're a status symbol and a part of the American psyche, thanks to marketing on the part of the automotive companies and a refusal on the part of many Congressmen (mostly Reps) to disincentivize them.
