I always 'waste' my vote on some ethical candidate who will raise pertinent issues that can't/wont be addressed in the major arguments. That is the way such ideas eventually rise to general consciousness. We need liberal ideas and conservative vigilance to be hashed over in all political considerations. However, I don't care about abortion, gay movements, marriage definitions etc. because I figure the major candidates have and will continue to argue that stuff until we are all able to puke out our own feelings about it, which is fairly inconsequencial. I care more about important issues that aren't getting aired.
