The God Particle--well, that's one tiny aspect of God that probably explains some things but not others.

Astronomy and astrophysics are fascinating to me, but way beyond my comprehension. Through the generosity of an SI friend, Goldworldnet, I was able to read several books written by people who work at the cutting edge of human understanding of the universe. One was written by Sir Roger Penrose, an associate of Stephen Hawking. Hawking wrote a tiny little book called "A Brief History of Time" designed for the lay reader yet I could barely understand it; Penrose's was massive, and after the first paragraph or two I lost all comprehension.
